Half Moon Run – Sun Leads Me On

Their much anticipated album does not disappoint

It’s really hard to find something not to like about Half Moon Run’s new album. The Montreal based band had a lot to live up to after the release of their incredible debut album “Dark Eyes” which brought them the notoriety they have now. In its entirety the experience of this album is spectacular. From their change of pace in songs like “Turn Your Love” a more upbeat track to “Sun Leads Me On” a slower song, the album manages its pacing very well. Every song seems to have its own twist on their sound, such as “Devil May Care”, while still remaining true to their style. I would strongly recommend to any listener to listen to this album in its entirety, as while each song is very good, the album itself binds them all together in an extraordinary way.
